The Rise of The Grey

Our inaugural season participating in the CJP outdoor program has been a fantastic experience so far. Maybe I’m biased, but these kids are bloody terrific and every one of the coaches is having a great time working with them.
Although The Grey are winless so far, they’re making big strides every game and opposition coaches and umpires have big compliments for their work rate and the improvement they’re showing.
If you’d like to come out and throw out some big PHX cheers on a balmy Sunday, just go to our master schedule and you can see when they play for the rest of October. The last day is the 27th, so it would be great to have a big contingent of PHX seniors out to show them how much fun we have and how glad we are they’ve joined our flock!
Indoor Senior CLFHA – Starts Oct 20
Here’s your Repsol access card. Your team reps will have physical versions to hand out at the first few games, but you can use this the first day and every day. Make sure to always use your card and NOT ask the front desk to buzz you through, or we get fined!

- Matches will be both Saturdays and Sundays depending on Repsol availability
- Regular season 16-17 games and 2 playoff games
- Practices: dates posted on TeamSnap, included with your team fees
- Nov 10 games but not Family Day weekend
- Last day of fall: Dec 15
- First day of winter indoor: Jan 12 2020
- U of C Indoor Invitational tentatively scheduled for March 6-8 2020
- FHA will practice Saturdays in Nov and Dec 14:00-16:00
Indoor Umpiring
Each team in the league is required to have 3 umpires certified or working towards it every season. Here are the great parts about umpiring:
- While giving back to the game, you get PAID
- Keely Dunn (White and many coaching) just happens to be pretty good at the umpiring stuff, and will personally mentor you!
- When you’ve completed your certification clinic/course and passed the exam, you’ll get your fee back from the club
- Being
umpire helps you to be a better player as you’ll understand the rules and how to use them to your advantageand
Clinic Dates: Tue Nov 12 & 19 (both nights required)
If that doesn’t work for you, the certification course is also available in an online version. You can learn how to umpire on the bus, on the couch, on your lunch break!
New Rules
Check out the FHumpires mini-course available just for the new 2019 indoor rules, and make sure to use the code “CLFHA” to get it for free!

- 4 x 10:00 quarters

PHX Merch

Did you notice how super amazing The a Grey look in their PHX shirts? I bet you did. I can feel the jealousy rising even as you’re reading this, but—no need!
Our first venture into club merch is The Grey Tee, which is a very fitting way to celebrate our first junior team! Wear this silky, flattering top to games, in training sessions, cheering on other PHX teams, and in the Post-match debriefs in the parking lot (not during winter, please). Proceeds go into the club fund which at this stage will pay for the equipment we’ll be using in training.
